Problem:
The error displayed from the Java GUI is a generic message and may occur for
various reasons. In this particular case, a 5.0.x *MSF SMTP configured
server(s) was detected. Domino 6 for iSeries does not support *MSF; all
existing Domino servers with SMTP configured must use *Domino as an SMTP
service. Use the CHGDOMSVR command as necessary to correct the
configuration(s), and end and restart MSF by issuing the ENDMSF and STRMSF
commands.
An enhancement request has been submitted to Lotus Software Quality Engineering
to change the behavior of the Java installation so that a check is performed
for prerequisites prior to File Copy.Supporting Information:
